A Pixelspace System needs to handle heavy workload to display information and handle heavy tasks. Thus why the system has it's own designed processor. The Pixelspace Videowall Processor is the brains of the system, it handles every information given while simultaneously display and run task for the user. The Processor is carefully crafted by Nextplus to handle specific task required by the videowall in order to run smoothly on a giant display with accuracy. Reliability and productivity was put in mind when crafting the Pixelspace Videowall Processor in the lab.

The Pixelspace Videowall Processor is designed by Nextplus for large video wall applications and offers the opportunity to run CPU intensive applications such as CCTV systems and SCADA applications. The Intel processors provides substantial processing capabilites and in additional the standard 16GB memory configuration (32GB optional) makes this the video wall controller for heavy duty applications. The 19" 4U industrial PC chassis has an optimum cooling airflow management system with dual cooling fans and provides a quality solution to any specialized applications.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
It has been designed, developed and optimized to operate with the latest generation of our world leading Nextplus PCI Express video graphics cards and capture cards. The graphics cards are PCI Express compatible providing support for HD, SD, DVI and RGB video overlays. They can provide a maximum resolution of 4k x 32 bit. Nextplus video capture cards provide HD video capture or HDMI capture capabilities as well as a number of high resolution video capture modes including 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, Dual Link DVI, RGB, VGA and Composite; for Analog video and Standard Definition. It is built around Nextplus’s Express9 backplane and SBC3 single board computer. The Express9 features 9 slot backplane for flexibility. The SBC3 single board computer features an Intel processor, delivers up to 16GB of memory and full set of I/O for computerization solutions. |
CUSTOMISATION
It has an Express20, a 20 slot PCI Express backplane . To provide flexibility and a solution to the larger project, this can be used with the proven Nextplus expansion chassis, increasing the number of available PCI Express slots.The SLink card can be used instead of a PICMG 1.3 SBC to configure the Express9 as an expansion backplane from a standard PC or from other Express9 backplanes by connecting to a HLink card. |
RELIABILITY
It has an industrial SBC to provide reliability, also air flow management is optimised through the fan and chassis build. Wall Monitor is a software application for monitoring system status for Nextplus’s video wall controllers. This application will monitor; CPU core(s) temperature, system PSU voltages and GPU temperatures. It can provide the user with a warning which is either an auidio notification, an error message or an email if the voltages and temperature are out of specification. Wall monitor can shut down the system automatically if any readings become critical. |
SOFTWARE
Nextplus offers a full suite of software applications for display control in different applications and business environments, to meet a diverse set of customer requirements. A well structured set of graphics and video capture drivers allows client to build efficient display control and content management applications, making full use of the underlying hardware capability, whilst being protected from the intricate details of hardware resource management. Nextplus’s Wall Control application offers an effective tool for display controllers in diverse end user markets.Nextplus’s Wall Control video wall software is designed to make full use of Nextplus’s graphics and capture hardware technology and maximises the use of available hardware acceleration both on video inputs and outputs. Wall Control video wall software allows advanced interactive desktop control and configuration, interactively opening, moving, sizing and positioning video overlay, RGB/ DVI/ SD/ HD windows and Microsoft Windows application software. This is a useful application where specific areas of captured input need to be individually display and controlled, such as command and control video walls. Nextplus’s IP Video Server augments Wall Control video wall software enabling large numbers of simultaneous IP video streams from cameras or other source. IP Video Server can be used in conjunction with Nextplus’s Render Station up to 240 IP video windows. |
